Fastforward releases Bin-it 1.3, adds customizable themes and more

June 26, 2007—Fastforward Software today released Bin-it 1.3, a free update to its desktop trash can utility. The update adds the ability to create custom trash can designs and use custom sounds. Features include: Desktop Trash; Trash Level Display; select from multiple trash styles and change size, opacity and other settings; and more. Bin-it 1.3 requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later and is available for purchase for $12.50 (USD). Bin-it is available in English and French.

Bin-it 1.3 version changes
• Allows custom bin designs to be dragged and dropped to create new themes. Unregistered version allows only one custom theme
• Allows 2 sounds to be added to custom themes - a 'trash file' sound and an 'empty trash' sound
• Animates when trash is emptied by cycling backwards through the trash images
• Floating trash can display number of items in trash and / or size of trash
• Preference to switch on / off "are you sure" warning when emptying trash
• 10.2 no longer supported - minimum requirement now 10.3
